About NTS
An expressed need for a comprehensive testing service was felt after the introduction of the National Education Policy (1998-2010) and the Information Technology (IT) Policy of the Government of Pakistan. In response to this need, National Testing Service (NTS) was established in July 2002 as a project and as per the decision vide notification dated July 02, 2002, of the COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology (CIIT) to convert the project into a legal entity and accordingly a company i.e., National Testing Service – Pakistan (NTS) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (not-for-profit & limited by guarantee) on April 30, 2003, under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017 by the CUI. The administrative Ministry of the CUI is the Ministry of Science and Technology thus NTS is currently working as a Public Sector Company (PSC).
